This Is Not An April Fools. Elon Musk Really Has Released A Rap Dedicated To Harambe The Gorilla

The latest chapter in the Elon Musk saga might just be the strangest one yet.
The billionaire tech mogul has taken it upon himself to record and publish a rap about Harambe the gorilla – of all things – that the world neither needs nor wants.
It is (we assume) a horrifically ill-judged attempt to salvage his reputation after his various missteps and misdeeds of 2018. Think: going on a full-blown media-bashing tiradesending a tweet that lost him $20 million, and ripping off of a "farting unicorn" cartoon, just for starters. Then, add the time he endorsed an article written by a sex cult or called a man "pedo guy" for assisting efforts to rescue 12 boys trapped in an underwater cave.
But let's get back to the music.
"RIP Harambe" is an ode to the internet-famous gorilla who was shot when a 3-year-old child entered his enclosure in Cincinnati Zoo. It was released on Saturday, and at the time of writing, it has racked up over a million listens and close to 2,000 shares.
Curious readers can listen to the rap on Soundcloud, where he released his heavily auto-tuned ditty under the name of a fabricated rap label, "Emo G". (Yes, really.)
It includes prize lyrics such as these: "RIP Harambe/Sipping on some Bombay/We on our way to heaven/Amen, Amen" and "RIP Harambe/Smoking on some strong/In the gorilla zoo/And we thinking about you."
